COLE SCHMITT AND KALVIN YORK WIN GRECO JUNIOR NATIONAL TITLES IN FARGO, ND!!!! Cole Schmitt earned his title at 140 LBS. by beating Andrew Alton of Pennsylvania 4 - 1, 4 - 2. Kalvin York took home the crown at 152 LBS. by winning by decision over Dirk Cowburn of Pennsylvania by a score of 3 - 2, and 7 - 1. Joining Cole and Kalvin as All-Americans were Derek Olson and Bobby Nachreiner. Derek placed 5th at 135 LBS. in the Greco Junior Division. Bobby placed 3rd at 84 LBS. in the Cadet Greco Division and 7th at 91 LBS. in the Cadet Freestyle Division.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TRIPLE CROWN WINNER RYAN CONE!!! Ryan added to his folkstyle national title and clinched the triple crown by bringing home two more gold medals from the freestyle and greco national championships in the 152 LBS. Schoolboy division. Also earning All-American status was Cole Clark. Cole placed 4th in Greco and 3rd in Freestyle in the 70 LBS. Midget Dvision.
RYAN CONE & ZAC MULROONEY LED ADVANCE AT THE USAWRESTLING FOLKSTYLE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN CEDAR FALLS, IOWA. RYAN CONE won the National Championship at 140lb Schoolboy Division by pinning Cody Nyhagen in 2:14 and ZACHARY MULROONEY won by major decision over Ryan Blake (Maj 8-0)
